Costa Coffee is offering customers the chance to win a RUBY worth £5,000 – by ordering a takeaway hot drink.
The precious stones are currently being kept under lock and key by trained security specialists.
But from today [February 11th] until Valentine’s Day every adult using Deliveroo to order a ‘Ruby Cocoa Hot Chocolate’ will be entered into a prize draw to win one.
Five customers will one of the valuable gemstones which are collectively worth a huge £25K.
Costa Coffee claim their new signature drink for Valentine’s Day is its most ‘Instagrammable’ ever, and is made using a rare ruby cocoa bean which gives it a distinctive pink hue.
Global digital and loyalty director at Costa Coffee, Arslan Sharif, said: “As the nation’s favourite coffee shop we want to deliver digital innovations which will enhance and elevate the customer experience.
“So what better way to mark our first anniversary with Deliveroo than by sharing the love with even more customers, across 50 nationwide Costa Coffee stores.
“The Ruby Cocoa Hot Chocolate is the most Instagrammable drink of the season and is the perfect order for your loved one this Valentine’s Day – you could say it’s a ‘gem’ of a gift.”
Deliveroo now provide Costa Coffee from 50 locations, and consumers within the catchment area can simply swipe right on the Deliveroo app to order the new addition, which is also available with dairy-free alternatives at no extra cost.
