Lee Medd is a Broadcaster, Producer, Event Host, Event Planner and Marketing Manager.
Radio has always been a passion of Lee’s, since his youngest years when he made his own radio shows on a cassette recorder. As he grew up he became more interested in the broadcast presentation and business aspects of the industry.
He first became involved in radio in 2010 as a volunteer with the Dumfries based community radio station Alive 107.3, starting off in a co-host & production role before moving on to anchor the re-launched Saturday Sports show ‘Alive & Kicking’ as well as hosting the Sunday Breakfast show.
In 2011 he launched the stations first dedicated current events show ‘Lee Medd LIVE’ during which time he interviewed the then first Minister Alec Salmond MSP, David Mundell MP and then Prime Minister David Cameron. Also hosting special election coverage of the 2015 & 2017 General Elections, the Scottish Elections in 2011, 2016 and the 2015 Independence Referendum as well as the 2016 US election.
He hosted the breakfast show on Alive 107.3, Medd in the Morning – Monday to Thursday between 7-9am between May 2013 and May 2018; in addition to co-hosting and producing the weekly ‘Meddisms’ programme alongside Andrea Medd.
Since June 2016 Lee can be heard every weekend on Dumfries & Galloway’s WestSound, hosting Saturday’s Greatest Hits, Gossip & Goals between 3-7pm and 12-4pm with Sunday’s Greatest Hits as well as deputising on both breakfast and home run shows.
As well as bringing is warm character and humour and distinctive wit to air, Lee is also an experienced radio producer and music programmer. Having previously scheduled music for Alive 107.3, Dumfries’ Award Winning Community Radio Station.
Since 2012 Lee has co-compered the Stranraer ParkFest music weekend, raising money for the Stranraer Inshore Lifeboat Fund.

Lee is a trustee with Dumfries & Galloway Arts Festival and a member of Dumfries Rotary Club.
He also hosts a number of events throughout the region including the bi-annual DGBusiness Awards, the Annual DGChamber Business Lunch and at a number of election debates, fashion shows and other events.
