Oh Yes It Is, Panto Season is Back!

2020 has been an awful year and it looked like we wouldn’t get the festive cheer of going to a pantomime this year, but thanks to the team behind the Doonhame Festival the panto spirit will soon descend to The Crichton.

A new Drive-In Christmas Show for families will take place over two weekends in December on The Crichton grounds in Dumfries.

The 1 hour live spectacular will feature some well-known faces including Alive 107.3’s Andrea Medd and Ali Donowho playing some of your favourite pantomime characters including The Dame, Cinderella and the Christmas Fairy.

The show can be viewed from the safety of your own car and tickets must be purchased in advance. Santa will also be there to deliver presents to the children.

Sandy Sweetman, Joint Director said: “Kids and families have missed out on lots of the usual Christmas events such as panto and parties this year. We have worked hard to deliver a safe event that can lift everyone’s spirits in time for Christmas”.

The shows will take place in the Easterbrook Hall car park next to The Crichton Memorial Church on the 12th, 13th and 19th of December with three performances per day at 12noon, 3pm and 6pm”.

“Our priority is always public safety, so capacity will be limited to ensure that there will be plenty of space between cars. Other Covid-19 safety measures will be in place throughout the weekend to keep everyone as safe as possible. If the show cannot go-ahead for an Covid-related reason, then a full refund will be given”.

Tickets are on sale NOW from www.driveinchristmas.co.uk from £8 per person.
