2021 will see the return of the Doonhame Festival, we already know it’s going to be a great weekend with acts such as The Kaiser Chiefs, the Feeling and Bad Manners all performing at The Crichton.

But now it’s got even better as they have announced – Doonhame Kids, a new ‘festival in a day’ which will take place on Sunday 1st August 2021 on the grounds of The Crichton in Dumfries between 12 noon and 4pm.

The Kids festival will feature performances on the main stage from Little Mix, Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande tribute acts, Big Fish Little Fish Family Rave and also performances from Attitude, Danceworks Studio, Dumfries School of Dance, In Step and Razzamataz Dumfries.

Sandy Sweetman, Joint Festival Director said: “We want to ensure that Doonhame events are truly accessible and enjoyable for all ages. Having this new kids festival on the Doonhame weekend will ensure that the kids have a full festival experience in a safe environment.”

On site there will be loads of other activities including face painting, fairground rides and Family Mocktail Bar, as well as a Prosecco and Wine Bar for the adults!

“Our priority is always public safety. The limited capacity and plenty of open air space will allow for physical distancing and we will ensure that all other Covid-19 safety measures are in place throughout the weekend. We will also roll over tickets if the festival cannot go ahead due to further Covid-19 restrictions”.

Doonhame Kids will take place on the same weekend as the Doonhame Festival, but tickets must be purchased separately and children must be registered and supervised at all times.

Tickets for Doonhame Kids, which will take place on Sunday 1 August, are available online from www.doonhamekids.co.uk for £10, under 3’s go free!

Tickets for the Doonhame Festival, which will take place on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st July at The Crichton, are on sale at www.doonhamefestival.co.uk
